The NSS Unit of EKC College of commerce and sciences organized a series of awareness activities on the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26th June 2025. The event began with an inaugural session led by the Principal, Suchithra Varma.Following the Principal’s address, the Vice Principal,Amjad Babu delivered a special message on drug abuse.The session also included an inspiring message by Satheesh Kumar HoD of computer science.

Events

Pledge Ceremony:

All students and staff took a pledge to stay away from drugs and spread awareness about its harmful effects in their communities.

Awareness Rally:

NSS volunteers organized a rally around the campus and nearby locality with banners, placards, and slogans like “Say No to Drugs” and “Drug-Free Youth for a Better Nation.” The rally aimed to spread awareness among the public.

As part of the celebration of International Yoga Day the NSS Unit of Eranad knowledge city college of commerce sciences organized a Yoga session on 25/6/2025 in the seminar hall. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of yoga in promoting a healthy lifestyle and to encourage students and faculty to integrate yoga into their daily routine.

The program commenced at 10.00 am with an introductory speech by Principal, Suchithra Varma who emphasized the significance of Yoga.The Yoga session was led by Vanaja Madam,certified yoga trainer (Heartfulness Centre, Manjeri) who guided the participants through a series of basic asanas. The participants, including NSS volunteers, faculty members, and students, actively engaged in the session with great enthusiasm.
